Why
Restore?
The furniture you own, have recently inherited, or have just purchased at an
auction or other venue is probably made of better material (real wood and wood
veneers) than is generally available in new furniture today. If you have purchased
new furniture in the last five or six years you have seen for yourself that this
is the case. The use of plastics is at an all time high. While this mode of construction
may be fine for the short-term -- these pieces will not have the staying power
of older, well-made pieces. They are also more expensive to repair.
Good Refinishing can bring back the life, the vibrant colors, and
the inherent beauty of real wood furniture.
Quality Structural Repair teamed with cosmetic repair can return
to service a piece you may have been considering discarding.
It Makes Good Environmental Sense to restore a piece since the restoration
process, from beginning to end, uses less than 10% of the energy and natural
resources required to manufacture a new piece of furniture.
It Makes Good Economic Sense to restore a quality piece of furniture. You
can usually save 50% or more over the cost of new furniture by having a piece
restored.
